HCA enjoys the open source software seminar and training course for five high central and Binh Phuoc provinces at Daklak Province

The Department of Posts and Telematics of HCMC (DPT)coordinates with the Department of Posts and Telematics of Daklak Province (belonging to Buon Me Thuot City) from December 12 - 15, 2007, organized a group of speakers and lecturers to support for five high central and Binh Phuoc provinces in deploying open source software program.

Coming to the event, there were Mr. Nguyen Trung Quynh - Director of Open Source Software Project (belonging to the Ministry of Science and Technology), and Mr. Nguyen Trong Duong - Deputy Head of ICT Industry Department of the Ministry of Information and Communications (MIC). Other enterprises from HCMC like Intel VN's Office, Khai Tri Co., Inet Solution, Lac Viet Youth, Hacao Linux and VCM Club also take their contributions to the event by sponsoring money, gifts, reports and lecturers. Mr. Pham Thien Nghe - Secretary General of the Hochiminh City Computer Association (HCA) has a report with the topic: "An example of connecting between hardware and software enterprises to deploy some open source software projects".

At the closing marks, Mr. Dinh Van Khiet - Vice President of Daklak Province desires to have more cooperative chances among Daklak Province and other provinces, particularly HCMC in the field of ICT Industry. In addition, he also hopes that there will be ICT Festival Day at the high central city with attendances of a large number of HCMC enterprises on March 10, 2008 - Buon Me Thuot City's Liberation Day Ceremony.
